PHILOSOPHY
The Sister Carolyn Learning
Center provides a secure, nourishing, enjoyable, and
stimulating environment aimed to help the individual child
reach his/her greatest potential.
Our goal is to follow the
footsteps of Jesus helping children develop a strong sense
of self-esteem and confidence through a wide range of
appropriate experiences.
We provide a suitable
curriculum for each child’s spiritual, physical, cognitive,
social and emotional growth.
STAFF
All staff members have the
40 hours training from the Department of Children and
Family.
In addition, they are all
certified in Adult, Child and Infant First Aid and CPR.
All of our teachers have the
required Child Development Associate Degree and/or an AS
Degree in Child Development
Education. Our
administration has more than 35 years of experience in the
education field.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Children must be two or
three years old by September 1, 2005. A completed
application and current health certificates (HRS forms 3040
and 680) are required in addition to a copy of the child’s
Birth and Baptismal Certificate, a copy of their Social
Security card and two 2x2 photos. Children entering Pre-K3
will be individually screened and must be completely potty
trained.
LUNCH AND SNACKS
Hot
Lunch is included in the monthly fee. Nutritional snacks
will be served mid-morning and mid afternoon.
PROGRAMS
Our programs are for PK-2
and PK-3. The children are divided in groups according to
their age and developmental needs. Each group is taught by
a Teacher and a Teacher Assistant. Our curriculum, High
Reach, is presented in themes. Examples of these themes are
: Self and Family, Forest Animals and Plants, Community
Helpers, Senses, Transportation, Weather & Safety. Special
emphasis is placed on spiritual development.
