APOSTLES OF MERCY
Members of this group offer monetary assistance as well as
food donations to those most in need of our Parish. (S)
N.A.M.I. –
NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL
This
group offers support to parents and family members of any
individual with serious mental illness (schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder and depression). They help each other with
personal testimonies, and discussions of how to overcome the
situation as Christian families. They also have available,
at no charge, literature on the different biological
illnesses of the brain. (S)

OUTREACH MINISTRY
This ministry tends to the homeless community in
Downtown Miami as well as the migrant workers in Naranja.
They make sandwiches to distribute and collect clothes,
shoes, and other necessary goods for the less fortunate. (E
& S)

P.A.C.T. –
PEOPLE ACTING FOR COMMUNITY TOGETHER
The purpose of PACT is to build a strong grassroots
coalition organization capable of negotiating the interests
of Miami-Dade County residents. Composed of diverse
religious congregations and civic/neighborhood groups, PACT
represents the multi-lingual and multi-cultural communities
of Miami-Dade County, [with a special concern for the
involvement and issues of low and moderate income people].

RESPECT LIFE
Respect Life promotes the respect of life from
conception to natural death. During the year they collect
all kinds of baby items and money to donate to the Sunset
Respect Life Office. They in turn, help women that go to
the office for assistance and counseling. (E & S)
SCOUTS - CUB/BOY
SCOUTS
Cub
Scouts, for boys in 1st - 5th grade and Boy Scouts, for 6th
- 12th graders, are programs that help youngsters become
good citizens, while developing them both mentally and
physically. The strength of these programs lies in teaching
the children about patriotism, citizenship, community
service, brotherhood and values, as well as creating a
healthy relationship among parents and their sons at an
early age. They participate in a safe and fun learning
environment. (E)

SENIOR CITIZENS -
YOUNG IN SPIRIT
This
group is for senior citizens, those 55 and over. Its
purpose is to promote good fellowship among those who are
partially or completely retired from active employment.
They gather as friends and have social events twice a
month. Men and women are both welcome. (E)
Meets:
First
& third Tuesday of the month – McDermott Hall, Center Room -
2:00pm to 4:00pm.
SENIOR CITIZENS GROUP
This
group of senior citizens share bible readings, pot-luck
lunches, and bingo. They visit the handicapped and help in
other works of charity. Their purpose is to promote good
fellowship among its members. (S)
Meets:
Second and fourth Thursday of the month - McDermott Hall -
Center Room, 2:00pm to 5:30pm.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
St.
Vincent de Paul’s primary function is reaching out in
friendship and helping hands to those in need. Throughout
the years, they have assisted and aided many needy
families. (E & S)

Monday – Church Hall – North, 7:00pm.
